Sustainability

As defined, sustainability focuses on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. I:se exists to humbly serve in the center of the economic, environmental and social ecosystem. We are a small company with a smaller footprint. But with a relentless focus on care for our planet, we will do our part in this larger story by holding ourselves and our partners to a higher standard.Ise Windfarm

The beginning of our journey in sustainability begins with the following operational policies:

Aloe PlanRAW INGREDIENTS

In an industry dominated by vanity, we vehemently stand against introducing ingredients for unnecessary preservation, fragrance, or visual appeal. We curate only the most organic & natural botanicals and raw ingredients such as vegan, cruelty free, non-GMO, and free of un-natural enhancers such as parabens, phthalates, silicones, paraffins, sulfates, artificial fragrances, and artificial colors. And by partnering with equally sustainable suppliers such as Organic-focused Mountain Rose Herbs we support larger companies with scale and influence. Learn more about Our Botanicals -->

Amongst all of our materials suppliers, our label printer stands out as an inspiring example of walking the talk. Scott Pillsbury is president of Rose City Label, a sustainably focused custom label print shop in Portland, OR. With his sister, he has guided the business to grow and prosper through innovative sustainability and marketing programs, most notably, 100% use of renewable wind power. He is a past TLMI board chair and recipient of several national awards and certifications. As part of our vendor selection process, we recently interviewed Scott at his facility to learn more about his program. We are convinced. Take a look -->

All of our materials for R&D, as well as finished products, are vetted to be un-harmful to the earth and recyclable wherever possible. This includes, but is not limited to raw ingredients and low-impact packaging such as glass bottles, labels, hemp string, corrugated boxes, etc. Additionally, we are researching TerraCycle, a leading platform for the #RecycleEverything movement.
